I’ve been playing disc golf over the last several years and have become obsessed with it. McMahon has been known for two things throughout his career; crushing long-distance drives and wearing his emotions on his sleeve. Both of these aspects contributed to injuries beginning in 2019. His first injury was his elbow from repetitive use. He now wears a compression sleeve over his right elbow to help alleviate the pain. Aside from being another feather in his proverbial cap, McBeth was happy that the triumph came as part of a weekend that mixed his favorite athletic pursuits and his family’s heritage. He became frustrated after throwing a shot and punched the ground and was subsequently diagnosed with a boxer’s fracture, leaving him out of the last few tournaments of the 2019 season. McMahon began playing disc golf in 2007 at the age of nine years old. He progressed quickly and entered the professional ranks in 2011. He then won his first A-Tier tournament in 2014 at the age of 16.

Wysocki is a 2-time PDGA – World Champion and is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world. As of May 2022, Wysocki is currently the second highest rated player in the world behind Paul McBeth. On January 4, 2022, Wysocki signed a 4-year/$4 million contract with Dynamic Discs. Wysocki’s contract pays him a base salary of $1 million a year with potential to reach $2 million per year depending on the amount of discs Dynamic Discs sells with Wysocki’s name on it.

Since that breakout season he has been one of the top players in the MPO division, winning multiple times in the DGPT, including four in 2021.

You likely won’t be surprised to learn that McBeth is disc golf’s top all-time earner and Climo is third in that category. Though Paju was disappointed to slip in the standings, he took plenty of positives from the event. He said his last 15 rounds have averaged in the 1040s, so he wasn’t worried about the 1015 he put up Sunday. He was also taking invaluable experience with him. By hole 15, Wysocki had tied Ulibarri and Bradley Williams’ prior course record.
You see the toe/ball land and then the heel comes down slightly in front. Mcbeth does this and then slips leaving his foot more open. Too many ams take a huge last step and never get their weight and timing sorted out. Usually, the large last step is a result of rushing and trying to strong arm the throw.
